June 9, 2008 Running PRIDE's Beat the Heat run will be held early during Independence Weekend
on Saturday, July 5, 2008. We know people will be off on their vacations or enjoying their weekend
off, but like many people who will have the weekend off, I, myself will have this weekend where I will
be able to put up this race. As many of you know I am still in the military and those duties come first
before anything even if it means family. I am looking forward to those people who will come out and

May 7, 2008 Here are the results for the Native American 5K National. The race attracted over 100
runners across the nation. Congratulations to all the finishers and I'm sure there will be more
runners next year. The proceeds from the race is to benefit Native runners who want to continue
running at the National level as far as paying for their lodging, food, entries, and travel. Mike Daney

April 21, 2008 The Boston Marathon was this past weekend and also hosting the U.S. Olympic
Women's Marathon Trials. Alvin Begay a Ganado Hornet graduate completed in the U.S. Olympic
she, finished at 45th place out of 124 runners. We would like to congratulate Alvina on her finish at
